My Drawing Sucks

I was talk about schools, teachers, subjects, students, etc... and that got me thinking about my drawing teacher at school.

I don't really remember if he ever taught drawing to anyone. He would just sit and ask everyone to draw... never gave any suggestions to any1... basically he was not at all interested in getting students interested in drawing :(

He was old... and I guess he was doing the job for the money... whatever maybe the reasons... but one thing is for sure - nobody from our school became an artist... In fact I am sure no one even wanted to be an artist.

Schools should take up children's growth as their responsibility, they should encourage overall development... drawing, sports, music - these subjects are in the syllabus for some reason right? If teachers don't teach them properly... how will the pupil develop interest?

I guess my drawing sucks, but it only sucks because I was never taught how to draw.
