Finally after so many years of having my presence on web, I have my own domain (www.nitinchaudhari.info). I bought it in December from ZNet India for 99Rs and then 2Rs for mail and domain forwarding.

One thing I did not like about ZNet is that they didn't combine these 2 charges. They should have asked me while buying the domain if I wanted to use email and domain forwarding. I had to do 2 transactions, also when I tried to get in touch using their phone support, it didn't work. Anyway... this is my domain for the next 1 year :)

Currently I have forwarded it to this blog (thanks to their live chat support), but I am thinking if I should forward it to my web site and then from there have a link to my blogs. Maybe not because I don't update my web site, so for now... I have a link to my web site from this blog.

So basically, its time to update your bookmark :)

Few months back Vijay Mallya acquired Spyker and renamed it Force India, now Spice Energy is all set to acquire Super Aguri.

2008 is going to be interesting... F1 has made a number of changes -

I think this is an awesome concept. I personally know few people who do a lot of others, who take initiative in doing something new/innovative. Such platform will bring out a lot of these hidden people.

One of the questions asked in Lead India was if we should switch over to Presidential form of government.

I think we should.

I went to buy a deodorant today, and the shopkeeper showed me a cologne. I had no idea how to compare them... so I looked up on Google and here's what I found.

Cologne, deodorant and perfume are all alcoholic solutions of fragrance oils but differ in the percentage of fragrance oil and the grade of alcohol (percentage of alcohol to water).
The higher the concentration of fragrance oil, the longer the fragrance lasts.

Don't compare

Draw line A of 10 cm and next to it draw line B of 7 cm. Now it is obvious which line is shorter, and how do you make line B longer?

Easy... draw another line C of length 3 cm. So now line B is longer.

It all depends on what it is compared with. So does it really make sense to compare two people. I don't think so...

Turing weakness into strength

This is the first time I have identified one of my weakness that I can turn into strength. Let me start working on it.

Just a thought - strength can be natural or artificial.

Natural is something where you have some in built talent, and artificial is where you work hard to fine tune a skill.

Suggestion for RTO

During the last month, I have been caught twice by RTO for parking in non-parking zone, I had to pay (bribe?) to release my vehicle on the spot. Agreed, I didn't actually follow traffic rule, but I don't want to pay to the guys who pick up the vehicle, instead I want to pay fine to the government.

So here is a suggestion, RTO should allow people to pay fine and give receipts on the spot. This will save people's time and energy to travel all the way to the traffic police station.

Also, educate people on who to identify original receipts, because I have seen these inspectors give out receipts which are Xeroxes of the original ones - so I am sure all the fine collected like this goes in their pocket and not in government treasury.

Got IPTV at home

Finally i am done with these cablewallas, i have asked them to pull out their cable from my home, and all because of the new IPTV connection i got from BSNL, its great, using their simple telephone line, they are giving me phone, broadband internet and IPTV... but i wish i had weireless modem to go with it, now i have to use USB to connect to internet due to which i cant use my laptop as a portable device.
